Tamaki Law of Central Washington

Blaine Tamaki Blaine Tamaki graduated cum laude from the University of Washington with honors distinction in Economics in 1979. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1982. In law school , Mr. Tamaki was voted "Outstanding Oralist"., and earned first place in the first year Moot Court Competition. He also was awarded second place in the Jessup International Moot Court Regional Competition in Berkley, California.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Tamaki became a civil litigator at the law firm of Velikanje, Moore & Shore. In 1987 he became a partner and in 1990 he became a managing partner. In 1994, Mr. Tamaki started his own firm, Tamaki Law Offices, focusing his practice on the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith and medical malpractice claims.

Mr. Tamaki is a member of the Washington State and the Yakima County bar Associations. He is an Eagle Member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association (WSTLA), where he has served in positions on the Board and as an elected officer. He is currently a vice president of WSTLA.

Mr. Tamaki is admitted to practice in the Washington State Supreme Court and the United States District Court for Eastern and Western Washington. He is also admitted to practice in the Yakama Nation Tribal Court.

As a strong supporter of many community causes, Mr. Tamaki has served on the Board of the Sisters of Providence Hospital ( now Yakima Regional), and has taught business law at Yakima Valley Community College.

He is married and has three children.
